About me. Qualifcations and passion for doing massage.

I've trained and have qualifcations with IIHHT (International Institute of Health and Holistic Therapies) and VTCT (Vocational Training Charitable Trust). I am a member of FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists), the largest professional association for therapists, maintaining high standards for their therapist members within the UK.

I became a Massage Therapist because I really enjoy seeing the benefits massage brings to people.
I know and can see the difference it can make, improving the quality of people’s lives, reducing muscular pain and helping to increase mobility. With massage releasing the happy hormones like Serotonin and Endorphins this offers people a deeper sense of relaxation and wellbeing.
I have always been good with my hand’s, and so training in Massage Techniques was a natural path. With training and practice, I was soon receiving positive feedback and enjoyed knowing that I was able to provide a pleasurable, effective and relaxing therapy.
I have trained in Indian Head Massage, Swedish Body Massage Techniques, Anatomy And Physiology, Advanced Massage and Deep Tissue Techniques. I have trained over a number of years to become a Massage Therapist, having completed training at Chippenham, Swindon and Trowbridge Colleges.
I am aways looking to increase the treatments in my repertoire through further training and development. I like to be able to offer clients more and varied treatments for their wellbeing.
I have spent quite a lot of time volunteering my services, through the Red Cross as a volunteer Therapeutic Massage Therapist, regularly going into various local hospitals to offer, seated shoulder, arm, head and back massage treatment over clothes.
I am currently offering a similar services at a large local group for more mature people, as well as massaging people at home.
I am looking now to build up a mobile massage business, whilst continuing to offer my services to a volunteer local group.
